Strategic Illustration^TM is a process of creatively engaging people to work together to develop a “picture” of a vision, plan, product, message, and story. Careful thought and intention goes into the visual so that it can serve a purpose beyond reflection. The artist works and re-works the design with the client.

As adult learners and leaders, we all process information differently.  Using graphics, color and metaphor allows us to process complex information visually and completely.  Highly illustrated maps simplify content, employ right and left brain modalities to help us understand our situations, opportunities and challenges with clarity and accuracy.  The maps are retained by the client and used to help focus actions and business decisions.

Graphic Recording is the art of creating a visual record of a conversation, presentation, focus group,  business meeting or keynote speech.It combines deep listening, visual  translation, and synthesis into a representation of an individual or  group process.

The essence of a Graphic Recorder is the ability to listen deeply, synthesize and take quick accurate notes and draw iconcs, images and metaphors that represent the conversations.

Graphic Facilitation is when a business strategist who can also draw works with a group facilitating the process, leading, listening, drawing key insights/comments and moving the group toward their set outcomes. 

Using metaphors, color, illustrations, and key words, this media is a powerful tool that enables groups of people to work together in highly effective, collaborative and satisfying ways. It's a visual system that captures information, synthesizes ideas and documents, and interactively supports group process.  The end product are large scale maps that visually portray the content, context, energy and commitments during meeting, process or event.
