As our financial systems tumble, and fear for our future runs rampant, I achieved a goal – a dream – something I have always wanted to do. This week I work alongside French business men and women in Paris to capture and support their thinking about transformation and innovation! The world is falling apart and here I am, having my “moment”.
Thanks to the inspiration, good will, trust and vision of a few really smart friends (Sean LaFleur at Flower (www.flowerchange.com) , and Pierre Goirand (www.pierregoirand.com) - , Alchemy (www.link2alchemy.com) hosted its first ever graphic recording class in Paris in conjunction with the 10 year anniversary meeting of SoL (Society for Organisational Learning www.solfrance.org) France. And, as part of that experience, a small group of “alchemists” from the Paris class also graphically captured the output of the gathering and it was magical (www.flickr.com/photos/alchemists).
This experience has provided a very intense and exciting energy in me. In the middle of all of the uncertainty and questions about the future, achieving a dream has motivated me to do something else I might consider outrageous - keep drawing, take another class, work on my French so I can come back and do this again and again. The experience awakened in me pure joy!
At Alchemy we work in transformational spaces and situations every day – when does real transformation occur? When we begin to see pieces of our dreams come together forming a new reality. These small steps – seen - provide the catalyst for achieving more of what we really desire.
Are you moving toward a dream? Perhaps these questions can help propel you along your path:
