How will The Alchemist Toolkit benefit me? |
The Strategic Action Planning Toolkit from Alchemy accomplishes three things for you and your team. First, it leverages the time and investment you spend by using an accelerated process to produce an action plan. Your plan will be strategic, action-oriented and created with buy-in from those in the room planning with you.

The Alchemist Toolkits abandon the old notion that a strategic plan needs to be a 200-page bound volume. We apply the basic principles of strategic planning in a format that is easy to use and involves everyone present.
The process and format is designed to save time and - with a little prep work - can produce a plan that can be revised every quarter and updated as needed. What is the Facilitator's Guide? |
The facilitator's guide is a step-by-step outline of how to use the toolkit you purchase. It describes everything from setting up your meeting, pre-meeting planning, and creating an "invitation" to set your meeting apart. It also explains how to integrate conversation with planning to produce a set of activities aimed at producing results. |

What does the 90 minute prep session do for me? Do I really need it? |
We believe in setting up people for success. When we are at out best, we are supported by people who have shared their insight and mentored us to greatness! We offer the 90-minute Prep Session because experience tells us that it helps to talk through the process, identify challenging areas, and brainstorm ways to address them when you are in the room conducting your Planning Session. The Alchemy business professionals who provide this customized 90-minute Prep Session have extensive experience in designing and using the Toolkit. They will provide valuable insights to your group and explore with you ways to make the most out of your Planning Session. We want you to be successful and support your success through this customized offering. |

Do I have to use the big map? Can I buy a no-frills option? |
The complete Strategic Action Planning Toolkit comes in one package and one size. However, individual templates of the maps are available (without the Facilitator's Guide, 90-minute Prep Session, and other Alchemist tools) in the large scale format 4' X 8'; Table maps in 3' X 4' size ; and packs of individual maps of 11 X 17". Pens, tape and "oops" stickers are also available separately.

Can I reproduce your maps? |
A blank template is the copywritten property of Alchemy LLC and cannot be reproduced in any form. However, once your map has been completed, digital photographs can be taken and shared within your group and company to illustrate the direction of your group, highlight goals and share results. |

How do I know when to write on the map? |
The Facilitator's Guide points out exactly what to do when and explains why. It explains the different sections of the map and what to place where. The guide also provides suggestions for where other items that may come up could go. |

How do I use the colors? |
The Facilitators Guide and your Alchemy professional can help you decide what colors to use where and why.

Where can I learn to draw my own maps, icons, color and all? |

What if I make a mistake? |
The Alchemist Toolkit comes with "oops" stickers that allow you to "white out" a section of the map and write over it. Presto: no mistake! |

What if I get the marker on my clothing, hands or walls? |
We include Mr. Sketch™ markers in all our kits. If you get ink on clothes, hands, or walls simply wash with soap and water. These water-based, environmentally-friendly markers have a great nib for printing, come in many colors, and generally last for several sessions. They will not bleed through to the wall and should not leave any permanent stains.

In short, because we honestly believe in supporting people in their creativity, we designed the Alchemists Toolkits!
Over the last several years, clients and colleagues have asked for ways to be able to conduct their own Planning Sessions with the tools we use. While some clients have limited financial resources, many of these requests have come from skilled professional leaders who want to conduct creative and inspiring sessions on their own. |
